據(jù)油價網(wǎng)6月23日報道，荷蘭礦務(wù)部長漢斯·維爾布里夫在上周五確認(rèn)，格羅寧根天然氣田將于今年10月1日停產(chǎn)，并于明年10月永久關(guān)閉。

根據(jù)維爾布里夫所言，這些天然氣田將在今年10月1日停產(chǎn)，但為了防止在寒冷的冬天出現(xiàn)能源短缺情況，這些天然氣田將在明年10月之前繼續(xù)保持運(yùn)營狀態(tài)。但是從明年10月開始，這些天然氣田將永久關(guān)閉并進(jìn)行設(shè)施拆除。

幾年前，該國同意逐步停止在該地提取天然氣，但在過去兩個冬季的能源危機(jī)中，天然氣價格上漲引發(fā)了有關(guān)該地能否將這些天然氣田繼續(xù)運(yùn)營一段時間的猜測。

The Netherlands Announces Official Closing Of Groningen Gas Fields

The Groningen gas fields will be turned off on October 1 of this year, and permanently close next October, The Netherlands Minister of Mines confirmed on Friday.

According to Netherlands Mines Minister Hans Vijlbrief, the fields, set to shut down on October 1, will remain in operational status for another year just in case the country finds itself on the energy backfoot with an exceptionally cold winter, Vijlbrief said. But as of next October, the gas fields will be closed permanently and dismantled.

Vijlbrief cited years of problems with the fields.

The country agreed to phase out gas extraction in the province a couple of years ago that were thought to be associated with natural gas extraction. But rising gas prices amid the energy crunch over the last two winters gave rise to speculation that the province could keep the fields operational for a little while longer.

Today, the Netherlands confirmed that it will keep the fields operational for a year past this October.

Over the last couple of decades, while the government raked in the equivalent of €360 billion in today’s money from gas revenues. Another €66 billion went to the oil and gas companies, Shell and Exxon. Shell and Exxon were told back in 2013 that they had to begin reducing output and gear up for shutting the field down completely.

Groningen in the north of the Netherlands has been pumping gas for more than half a century and supplied gas to 98 percent of the Dutch population as of 2019.
